Mission El Salvador Day 1

Saturday
After a bumpy flight and finally getting through customs, we arrived at the mission house to met our guide and translators and get settled in. Somehow I was volunteered to preach in a Spanish church tomorrow and Amber will be singing. But first there was work to do tonight...
Our crew prepared 144 meals and then we loaded the food and 10 people in the back of a pickup truck and headed to the poorest side of the city.
The homeless guys would graciously come up to the truck and then genuinely thank you for the meal you handed them. On our last stop there was about 75 homeless men on the street side that came to us for their only meal of the day, and then I spotted a beautiful, 5 year old girl among them that looked just like my niece (Kylee)... my heart just stopped as I realized these were all real people, like you and me. Now everyone in the mission house is asleep and I'm up trying to prepare for a message that will have to be translated as I preach, but I'm getting nowhere, because all I can think about is a precious 5 year old girl that is out on the street right now as its pouring down rain.
